Charolais StuD Sires

In 2021, we are using more of our own home-bred Charolais sires in our herd as we feel they are as good if not better than some of the AI sires available. Find below some of the AI sires that we are using in our herd today.

His mother, Sparrows Tempest 174K, had great longevity and fertility.

PCC Sudden Impact will improve top lines, length of body, fertility, longevity, finishing ability and phenotype. We recommend he be joined with mature cows only.

PCC Spartan 4Y

Sire: JSR Trophy 88T

Dam: Sparrows Tempest 174K

DOB: 09/02/2011

See EBVs here.

PCC Spartan 4Y was the Canadian Reserve National Champion bull in 2014 and is another son of Sparrows Tempest 174K who is proving to be one of the leading matrons in Canada.

Wakefield Charolais have secured the Australian semen rights for this polled bull and semen is available from United Cattle Breeding Services.

Spartan has been breeding very soft, true-to-type, feminine females that are easy-doing and fertile with wonderful udders. The females milk well and have wonderful temperaments.

The Spartan sons have a lovely softness to them, they have growth and muscularity with plenty down the back leg. They are sound in the feet and testicles which is very important to us and our bull buyers.
